We’ll cover:

  1. Use social media login
  2. Use good copy
  3. Ditch the username field
  4. Try to minimize errors
  5. Show password option
  6. Remember your users
  7. Log in without password

Use social media login

Allow users to log in using their social media details to speed up the process as it is less time consuming leading to better conversion rates

Use good copy

Avoid using general terms like 'Sign in login’. Instead, give the users an idea of what to expect when they sign into the application

Ditch the username field

Avoid the Username field to not have the users stress over what username to choose. (You may ease the process by generating usernames using their Full Name entry).

Try to minimize errors

Give users a hint of what type of input is expected in a particular field e.g. Password requirements and better placeholder descriptions

Show password option

Use the show password 'eye icon to eliminate the need for users to retype their selected password which will speed up the login process

Log in without a password

Save your users the trouble of having to re-enter all details when they try to re-login into your application or website on the same device.

Remember your users

Save your users the trouble of having to re-enter all details when they try to re-log into your application or website on the same device.
